Mich Towers Review

May 17, 2019

When we choose a place to stay, we put several points in consideration, among them, the location. The Michelangelo Towers achieves that first goal of allowing us to be in the heart of Johannesburg. The tower, located in the elegant neighborhood of Sandton, stands out with its 140 meters, making it one of the highest in the city.

The complex is located in the elegant neighborhood of Sandton, the business center of the city, where many international companies host their venues. The heart is the Nelson Mandela Square with it's large six-meter sculpture of the country's first democratically elected president, Nelson Mandela. But in addition, the hotel is surrounded by shopping malls and the main events and conventions center of the city. The first impression of Michelangelo Towers surprises, with its imposing height of 140 meters, which makes it one of the tallest buildings in the city.

The chosen name is not accidental, referring to Michelangelo, the famous Italian architect, sculptor and painter, with a main fountain that honors Renaissance art. Michelangelo Towers has apartments that include full kitchens (with microwave, refrigerator, oven, stove), separate laundry, a large living and dining room. There are accommodation options in one, two and three bedroom units, all with large walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. The large dimensions of the departments is not less for those of us who seek spaces that allow us to feel the freedom of movement. I cannot fail to mention the balconies that the units have, oriented to different parts of the city.

In amenities, the hotel has an outdoor pool with panoramic views of Johannesburg, another heated pool, a complete two-level gym and a spa. The gastronomic offer comes from the restaurant Parc Fermé, which offers travelers a selection of traditional African cuisine. In addition, it is the place chosen for breakfast every morning. For its location and warmth in service, The Michelangelo Towers becomes a perfect option especially for those who visit Johannesburg for the first time.
