Meet Gadija,

A young vibrant, energetic go getter Gadija has been in the hospitality industry for 10 years and has gain experience in various departments.

Starting out as a switchboard operator at The Table Bay Hotel Gadija then moved into a reservations role and became started enjoying speaking to guests. After working at the Table Bay Hotel Gadija moved to the Belmond Mount Nelson and then to the Taj before joining the Legacy team at the Commodore and Portswood Hotels as a reservationist.

During COVID, we had to optimise our operation, and considering we weren’t taking bookings for a few months, Gadija joined the housekeeping and maintenance team, taking on the new challenge head on as she was in a department, she had no experience in. in Gadija’s words “This was the best experience as I was starting from scratch, I really enjoyed it”

Gadija’s efforts, commitment and love of people earned her, her current post as Guest Relations Manager where she gets to do what she loves most – assist and interact with guests.

Gadija is also a proud mom of 2, and in her spare time she loves baking, shopping, spending time with friends and exploring the Mother City.
