Walking to school without proper shoes can have consequences for children, particularly during the harsh winter months, which is why Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge donated 70 pairs of shoes to neighbouring schools and children homes this winter.

Shoes delivered varied in sizes 10, 11, 12, 1, and 2 for school starters and those in high school and Matriculates.This was a heart-warming event as the kids from different schools and homes were elated, including the teaching staff. The same sentiments were portrayed by the home centre and gratitude to both Kwa Maritane and Legacy Hotels & Resorts was the order of the day.

The shoe distribution project targeted various schools within the local communities as follows:

• Mperebere Primary School- Ledig Village

• Itumeleng Middle School- Ledig Village

• Khayalethu High School- Phatshima Village

• Tswaidi High School- Ledig Village

• Dimakatso Safe House: Manakgotheng Village

• Ntshaleng Le Bana Care Centre: Lekgalong Villiage

The aim of this initiative is to restore the dignity of those learners. This initiative will not be a once-off. As Legacy, we would like to extend our gratitude to our Timeshare owners and Suppliers who contributed to the Project.
